Barbara (Bobbi) Harris died on February 4th, her 80th birthday. She was one of our founding members and until last year was a member of our Chapter. Along with helping me start the Newsletter on a monthly basis instead of sporadically, getting speakers, she served for many terms as Secretary. Together with Gordon DeAngelo she excavated the Jayne/LaPoint site near Pulaski NY (PLI i-3). She also participated in a dig at Cahokia Mound in Illinois and was active in Florida archaeology, shell mounds particularly, when she moved there to care for her mother before returning to Syracuse. She was an asset to NYS archaeology and will be missed
